Hello, my friends! I recently read over my original "The Cheat Code To Faith'' post that I made a while ago and I realized that I didn't articulate the concept as well as I would have liked, so I decided to make a part 2! So hopefully this post helps to clearly state what the cheat code to faith is! (At least what the cheat code is for me chile lol)
So I know that when people are going through really stressful and challenging seasons in their life, many times when people go to look up help from the church, they are met with gaslighting tactics, trash opinions, and sort of a vague interpretation of simply "Just have faith ♡". It can be super annoying and frustrating to go through, especially when your life is ALREADY in shambles. So this "cheat code" is something that I've come to discover just from walking through so many things and discovering the pattern between them all that God was trying to show me. So I know for many people, challenging seasons become way less hard to deal with when you can at least figure out why this situation is happening. So I've come to find out that every season I've ever walked through has hit on at least one of four major points that I will discuss. Every season that God puts people through is supposed to get them to see something. So if you ever feel burdened or stuck in a situation, ask yourself:
How Does This Situation Affect My View
Of Myself?
Of God?
Of My Relationship With God?
Of Those Around Me?
And you can almost guarantee that the answer to why you are walking through this season is gonna be found within one of those four questions. And once you figure out the answer to that, then you can use the cheat code on how to believe God under any circumstance. And you would think that the answer would be extreme or convoluted but it is simply:
Believe in the Goodness of God!!
And I know that sounds a little bit too simple and too cute to be the case. But I'm telling y'all the truth when I say that I have walked through MANY a thing. And literally EVERY season I go through points me back to this direction. It does not matter what you are going through. Whether it is big or small or complicated or simple, if you don't believe in the goodness of God, then things start to get harder and harder to deal with. And if you perceive your own God as being evil, then it will be harder for you to reach out and open yourself up to Him. Seeing the goodness of God is essential in learning how to fully rely on Him through every season. And when you keep this aspect of God in the forefront of your mind, then you will be able to withstand through every season, storm, and setback in your life. God is good! And He is truly a sweet and pure soul when you take the time to get to know Him for yourself. So if you want to reinforce this concept of God's goodness in your mind, I would recommend that you take the time to get to know Him on a personal level. Make space for Him in your life. Acknowledge Him and talk to Him like you would a friend because He wants you to get to know Him on this level, so that you will feel confident that He always has your back and your best interests in mind!
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Psalms 34:8 NIV
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalms 23:6 NIV
The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.
Psalms 145:9 NLT
